SANDY vegan leather trousers’ sustainability
We use environment-friendly materials at every stage of the production process – from leather, through linings, to threads, zippers, labels and packaging.
However, our sustainability does not rest on the materials alone, we promote an inclusive culture, we produce locally, pay fair wages and our pricing is transparent.
SUSTAINABLE VEGAN LEATHER
These vegan leather trousers are made of breathable, organic nopal cactus leather. The plant is highly CO2 absorbent and needs 80% less water compared to other crops. The production process is entirely sustainable – the cactus is rain-fed, dried in the sun, and 50% of the processed harvest is directed to the food industry.
RECYCLED PLASTIC DETAILS
Threads used to finish our vegan leather trousers, label with our logo, the laundry tag and zippers’ tapes are made of recycled plastic bottles. The zipper shine is obtained using eco chemicals only. It helps to reduce waste, save CO2 emissions and softens the environmental impact of garments productions.
SUSTAINABLE WRAPPING
SANDY flared trousers will be wrapped in a recycled paper, tied up with a ribbon made of recycled plastic bottles, and shipped in a recycled paper bag.
